Toshiba Satellite U505 with Ubuntu 9.10 and 10.04 64 bits

Just to inform,

Recently I bought a Laptop Toshiba Satellite U505-S2005 and installed Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic Koala) and 10.04 (Lucid), both 64 bits, on it.

The result is that I was able to get everything working with both. However, somethings I had to make by hands.

Difficulties with Karmic Koala:
- Realtek Wireless I had to install the driver manually
- Processor fan always on
- I had to install somethings (using apt) to have the proper video resolution
- I faced some instabilities with Karmic Koala 64, that I didn't with 32 bits.

When I dist-upgraded my system to Lucid, the problems were:
- I had to install flash manually
- My wifi does not recognize all lans (I am still working on it)
- Processor fan and video resolution worked fine. Apparently, improved stability

The result of lspci in Lucid
